Along with our partners, staff have been working with residents at Saville Court Independent Living Scheme, Hoyland getting stuck into weeding, mowing lawns, and giving the place a fantastic facelift.

As part of our employer supported volunteering (ESV) programme - ‘Can Do Crew’, 25 volunteers have given 100 hours of time, with a social value of approx. £1,650. (*)

Amanda Garrard, Chief Executive adds: “Thanks to everyone for getting involved and working together to make a brilliant difference. It’s a great opportunity to demonstrate our Can Do and Customer First values and enjoy team building. It's also a good way to get to know different colleagues across the business, support the wider community, and support staff wellbeing and professional growth.”

James, a resident at Saville Court, Hoyland said: "I think the work that's going on is making a big difference. It's going to benefit everybody in here."

Our staff are encouraged to use their employer supported volunteering and team away days to undertake activities as individuals or with others. Other current volunteering projects include Autism Allotments, Thurnscoe, and working with our local chosen charity BIADS.
